ADR-0011: Adopt the Integrated W7 Mark¶
Status: Accepted
Date: 2026-08-10
Owner: Rafael da Silva Guerra
Context¶
The first production mark established the required asset formats and color system, but its closed circle and overlapping W and 7 remained visually separate. A subsequent concept exploration showed a stronger direction: one open circular journey surrounding an angular monogram whose letters share a geometric center.
Decision¶
Adopt the integrated open-circle W7 geometry as the canonical mark. The gold arc represents continuity and forward movement, the shorter white arc balances it, and the W and 7 converge without becoming illegible at compact sizes. The approved palette and asset filenames remain unchanged.
Alternatives Considered¶
- Keep the first closed-circle mark. Rejected because the parts read as assembled rather than as one identity.
- Adopt the raster concept directly. Rejected because visual effects and approximate geometry are unsuitable as a canonical production source.
- Use a fully abstract symbol. Rejected because recognition of W and 7 remains important at this stage of the brand.
Consequences¶
Existing consumers receive the refined geometry automatically through stable asset paths. The open circle becomes a protected feature of the mark. Further geometry changes require a superseding Identity ADR.
