Purpose

This document defines what W7 intends to leave behind after individual products, technologies and initiatives have ended or changed.

Context

W7 is designed for continuous evolution, so permanence cannot depend on any particular output. Legacy provides the long-term measure that remains useful when shorter-term measures such as adoption, visibility or product growth no longer apply.

Products evolve.

Technologies become obsolete.

People move on.

The only thing that truly remains is the impact we leave on others.
