Purpose

This is a personal letter, not an operational document. It exists to say, in my own words, why I built W7 and what I want it to mean to whoever reads it — today, or long after I've handed it to someone else, or stepped back from it entirely.

Context

The Foundation documents state W7's principles in a form others can apply. This letter preserves the founder's personal intent behind those principles without replacing or extending their operational meaning.

To whoever is reading this,

If you're reading this as a collaborator, a future version of myself, or simply someone curious about what W7 actually is underneath the folders and the framework documents — this letter is for you.

I didn't start W7 because I had a business plan. I started it because I noticed a pattern in my own life: the moments I valued most were never the moments I solved something alone. They were the moments I explained something to someone else and watched it make sense to them. A fix that took me an entire night of frustration, turned into a five-minute explanation that saved someone else that same night. That trade always felt like the better deal.

I also noticed the opposite pattern, in myself and in people I respect: knowledge hoarded quietly, out of habit more than intention, because writing it down properly always seemed like something to do later. Later rarely comes on its own. W7 is my attempt to make "later" the default instead of the exception.

I called it W7 instead of naming it after a single product because I didn't want to build one thing. I wanted to build the conditions under which many meaningful things could exist — some I can picture today, most I can't yet. That's why this repository is full of structure before it's full of products: WarTips is real and active, but the framework around it was written so that whatever comes after WarTips doesn't have to start from zero, and doesn't have to inherit my mistakes by copying them instead of by choice.

I want to be honest about something else: I don't know exactly what W7 will become. It might stay something I build alongside a career. It might grow into something bigger. The Constitution is written so that either outcome — and everything in between — is fine, because what actually matters isn't the shape it takes. It's whether the people who encounter it walk away having learned something, taught something, or trusted something a little more than before.

If you take one thing from this letter, let it be this: build the thing that makes someone else's path a little easier, document it honestly, and don't wait for permission to start. I didn't.
